When you register and use AstroVest, we collect the following personal information:

• Identity information: Full name, email address, mobile phone number.
• Birth details: Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. These are required to generate your Vedic birth chart and are the core input for our astrological analysis.
• Payment information: We do not store card numbers or UPI IDs. All payment data is processed securely by Razorpay and governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy. We receive only transaction confirmation and subscription status.
• Communications: Any messages you send to our support email.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use AstroVest, we automatically collect:

• Device type, operating system, and browser version.
• IP address and approximate location (city/state level, not GPS).
• Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform.
• Error logs for debugging and improving the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To generate and display your Vedic birth chart and personalized astrological investment insights.
• To manage your subscription, process payments, and send billing-related communications.
• To send you daily recommendations, alerts, and reports you have subscribed to receive.
• To respond to your customer support queries.
• To improve our algorithms, features, and user experience.
• To comply with legal obligations under Indian law.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We will not use your birth details, name, or contact information for marketing purposes beyond the AstroVest service without your explicit consent.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act) and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (SPDI Rules). Your birth details constitute Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI) under SPDI Rule 3. We collect this data solely with your explicit consent, which you provide during registration.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Storage Location

Your personal data is stored on servers located within India, operated by cloud infrastructure providers that comply with Indian data protection standards.

4.2 Security Measures

We implement reasonable security practices as required by SPDI Rules, including:

• Encryption of sensitive data at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
• Access controls: only authorised personnel can access personal data.
• Regular security audits of our infrastructure.
• Hashed passwords — we never store your password in plain text.

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. You use AstroVest at your own risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We share data with Razorpay (payment processing), Sentry (error monitoring), and hosting providers solely to operate the service. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or competent government authority under applicable Indian law.
• Business transfers: If AstroVest is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the successor entity, subject to the same privacy protections.

6. Your Rights

Under the IT Act and SPDI Rules, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent for processing of SPDI at any time. Note that withdrawal may limit or terminate your ability to use AstroVest, as birth data is core to the service.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records required by Indian tax law may be retained for up to 7 years).

8. Children's Privacy

AstroVest is not intended for persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your login session and app preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may clear cookies via your browser settings, which will require you to log in again.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of AstroVest after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
